Get ready for an unforgettable jetboat journey through Alaska’s wild beauty! Cruise up a glacial river to the breathtaking face of Spencer Glacier, where towering ice walls and floating icebergs create a scene straight out of another world.
Our custom jetboats are built to handle the swift, cold waters of Alaska’s extreme rivers—perfect for this one-of-a-kind adventure. Your trip begins at the Placer Overflow parking area on the Seward Highway, where our guides outfit you with personal flotation gear and prepare you for an up-close exploration.
As we race upriver, marvel at dramatic mountain views, twisting channels, and the raw power of Alaska’s untamed landscape. When we reach serene Spencer Lake, colossal icebergs drift silently around us. We’ll edge closer to the glacier’s face, where you might witness an awe-inspiring calving event—hear the thunder, see the splash, and feel the chill in the air.
The return journey promises just as much thrill, as we ride the river’s current through its winding paths and rapids, soaking in panoramic scenery one last time.
Jetboat a wild river to the calving face, then kayak among icebergs. Our New Zealand-designed jetboats tackle Alaska’s rivers from Placer Overflow. Witness Spencer Glacier drip, moan, and calve. Thrilling turns on the return. Dress warm, bring cameras!
Andy and crew took us through the true Alaskan backcountry, with a final stop at the Spencer Glacier. The magnitude of the glaciers cannot be captured with photos or videos and made the experience worth every penny. They provided us with all the proper gear, hot chocolate and snacks. If we ever make it back to Alaska, we will go again
