Glacier Dog Sledding and Snowmobile Tour

Alaska Multi-Sport
Glacier Tour

Experience the best of Alaska with our unique glacier dog sledding and snowmobile tour. Your adventure begins at our Seward office, where you’ll check in for a safety briefing and gear selection. A 10-minute helicopter ride over Resurrection Bay will then transport you to the pristine Godwin Glacier. This scenic flight offers stunning views before you even set foot on the ice. The helicopter access ensures you reach a truly remote and beautiful location for this once-in-a-lifetime Alaskan adventure.

The Dog Sledding Experience

Upon arrival at the glacier, you’ll be immersed in the world of dog mushing. Spend about an hour with world-class Iditarod athletes from Turning Heads Kennel. They will teach you to mush your own dog team across the snowy landscape. This isn’t just a ride; it’s an interactive experience where you learn the commands and feel the power of the dogs. You’ll also have time to chat with experienced mushers and, of course, snuggle some adorable husky puppies. This glacier-based dog sledding experience is a true highlight of any trip to Seward.

The Snowmobile Exploration

After your thrilling dog sledding experience, get ready to explore the glacier on a snowmobile. Our friendly guides will provide instruction on operating these “snowmachines,” which feature simple throttle and brake handlebar controls. You’ll embark on a looping journey across the snowfields, with plenty of stops for photos amidst the stunning alpine scenery. On clear days, you may even catch ocean views of Resurrection Bay and the Kenai Fjords’ Day Harbor. This guided snowmobile tour provides a unique perspective of the glacier and its surroundings, completing your epic glacier exploration.
