Travel back in time to Historic Crow Creek Gold mine for snowshoeing, panning and pocketing guaranteed gold. We transport you along the Iditarod National Historic Trail to our exclusive destination deep in the Chugach Mountains. Strap on snowshoes and float over the snow past historic buildings on traditional gold mining routes to the bubbling partially frozen creek and waterfalls.
Springtime brings modern day prospectors to the creek to ply gravels with suction dredges to find gold valued over $1000 per ounce. Our guides introduce you to gold panning using gravel laced with Crow Creek gold.
Adventurous snowshoers can explore canyons, frozen waterfalls and venture into snow-filled dry canyons left by hydro-mining operations. Local guides give you first-hand information along the way and teach snowshoeing techniques.
